FINDING RESOURCES

Hi Stan,

I would like to know a book (or web site, or resource) where I can find information on the characteristics of plants (anything that grows including trees, weeds, flowers, veggies, bush, etc.). The information I am looking for is stuff like: root systems/propagation techniques/natural defenses from pests, weather, etc./growth cycles I hope this information is available in one or two places, if not, perhaps you could direct me to several to get my research started.

Anne - Thanks for your note, and would suggest you contact Olds College. The horticultural facet of their program is quite complete, and would have the texts on hand, or at least be listed for the students, and the distributors to contact.

If I may, be very specific to the contact person you question re. these specific botanic studies. If not made very clear with your endeavor, you may be purchasing a very expensive text not suitable for your purpose.

I do not have the Olds College contact numbers, but am sure directory assistance will.

If you were to take the courses offered at Olds re: these topics, it would be in the three to four year duration.
