![]() PLUMS ANYONE? Stan: I have saved 3 seeds from a plum
tree that was growing in Westlock. Pat Pat - re: your prunus: The easiest method to begin the plums from seed is to stratify them by natural means. Cultivate to 4 inches a square foot of garden wind-protected area, and now...firmly introduce the seeds into the soil to 2 inches of depth. Water well by November, and mulch with dry leaves. By March or April rake off the leaves to expose the seed bed. There should be germination and signs of growth by mid May. Good luck. |
