Wintering Pepper Plants
I have been unable to find literature on over wintering pepper plants? I know ignorance is bliss Stan but is it possible to over winter a bell pepper or any "hot" pepper plants. If so, what is the best procedure to follow?
Greatly enjoy my radio visit with you each Sunday!

Bob.... Thanks for your kind comments re. the show. Your interest in full time growing of peppers is great.. accept for the unalterable fact of plant morphism. Simply the fact that plants have been programmed to be specific in their growth rate, production and shape. The study of plant requirements to do with environment and conditions that produces a shape and growth habit for any of the plant kingdom members is Morphology. Your specific desire to grow peppers year round, aint going to happen. Peppers are annuals, no matter where. You can prolong the growth and with very high light , the fruiting into November. Tomatoes will also respond, but are an annual related to the pepper. You can however re seed into the same pots or containers your peppers are now in. Start the seeds by Jan. 15 for early germination and flower buds by mid March. Use general growing procedures, and enjoy the early green with St. Paddy.
Best of luck
