I have 3 Jade trees and I want to get them huge! I've isolated the stems and used a large pot and used miracle gro. Can I do anything else? They are very healthy and firm, but the root system is weak.

Mark - If you find a way to make your jade bigger in a short time, I would be very interested. Jade plants are a succulent of the cactii family, and the growth rate is based on time, not procedures.

They grow well in a mix of sand and clay with a modicum of crushed gravel. Acid feed fertilizer is not a usual product to feed the plants, as the system is geared towards an alkaline growing media, or a pH of 7 to 9.

Water only when very dry, or until the leaves wilt. Watering is as infrequent as once monthly, depending upon the light and heat source to the plant. Their natural habitat is in desert areas, but protected by other growth from the burning sun.

Hope this is a help.
