Fuchsias
Dear Stan;
How do I over winter fuchsias?
Marlene
Marlene - Fuchsias are best kept in the pot they are currently growing in. Leave outdoors until a mild frost nips the end growth. We will always have a 3 to 4 week stay after the frost and the plant can be cut back by one third. Continue to grow on in the outdoors at temps no lower than plus five.
Bring the fuchsia in and grow on in cool and bright conditions. Pg 3 Water and fertilize as necessary. Cut back if the stems begin to lengthen. You will have leaf and bud drop periodically through the winter months, but by Feb/ March all will be in order.
