How do I get rid of "duck weed" in ponds in the Edmonton area?

Laurel - So you have duck weed. In small amounts that leave open water for light and air, duck weed can be food to fish and snails. When the water surface if clogged, it can be a real deterrent to a healthy pool. Not knowing the size of or depth and width of the pool or what other life it contains...a lot of constant skimming is the way to go. There are excellent products on the market as aquacides and Greenland Nursery and Greenhouses, just east of the city on highway 16, can help you with their expertise.
