Hi Stan

Sometime ago I caught part of a program to do with a household bug killer but I never caught the name of it or the recipe. Is it the Doktor Doom products?

Listened to your show for years going to minor hockey games and practices, like it a lot.

Thanks
Ian

Ian - Thanks for your quick and to the point query.
I often give household or alternate pesticide control recipes, and expect the one you heard was the nicotine one. Very toxic to plant pests and humans!!!

Soak 3 or4 used cigarettes in a cup of warm water for a day or so.
Strain the water to extract the brownish residue, and transfer the liquid to a quart of warm water,
Add 2 tablespoons of dormant or household cooking oil and 1 tablespoon of liquid soap to the quart of water.
This is the pesticide that works well on most of our worst pests on plants, but not edible ones !
Doktor Doom is the one to use with confidence on ornamentals and garden produce. Specifically, the container of Botanics, and with the white cap.

Thanks for listening.
