Every Sunday morning,
Albertans wake up with Stan Thomson's cheerful advice on plants,
flowers, trees and shrubs. If it grows... he knows! Just ask
him.
Stan Thomson grew
up in the green house business. He was responsible for all horticulture
activity for Edmonton Parks and Recreation, and original curator
and manager for the Muttart Conservatory.
His weekly open-line
horticultural show from 8:00 til 11:00 Sunday mornings continues
to be one of the station's most popular shows. In his university
years, Stan completed work in plant pathology, entomology, plant
morphology, phenology, etiology and, in his words, even more
obscure ologies.
